After the pandemic and all its restrictions, Energy Karate’s annual fundraiser was back! They hosted their 12th fundraising event for Tali’s Fund, called “Kick Out Brain Cancer”. During this year’s event, Energy Karate students, both children and adults, participated in a Board Breaking Seminar. As always, it was lots of fun and a great opportunity to reunite with some familiar faces, meet new ones, and engage with our community.
C.J. Brown (ATRT cancer survivor) and his mom Sylvie joined us and shared their story, bringing hope to many children facing brain cancer.
Melissa Lantsman, Member of Parliament for Thornhill, and Deputy Leader of the Conservative Party of Canada came out to support our event and gifted Energy Karate and Tali’s Fund with a special certificate of appreciation.
We also held an Online Raffle and sold some delicious treats in our Tali’s Fund Tent. Thanks so much to Energy Karate for their continued support, to all those who came out to participate in the event, to our volunteers, and to our supporters. We raised an impressive $15,000!
Thank you to our supporters:
